Logistics Supervisor Opportunity

Job Description:

The Logistics Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of freight. Key responsibilities include loading, unloading, and securing general freight of all sizes.

Responsibilities also include operating various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T), processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize), and securing and restraining all loads as per the load restraint guide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
  • Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
  • Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide
  • Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
  • Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
  • Leading a small team of Freight Officers
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Forklift Licence (LF)
  • A strong knowledge base in transport and logistics
  • Experience with general ugly/oversize freight
  • Expert in load restraints using ratchet straps, chains and binders
  • Ability to lead, direct and supervise a small team
  • Preferred scanning experience
