Job Description:

Due to expansion in workload we are seeking a Logistics and Freight Coordinator to assist with sea freight transport and warehouse operations at our TUL site in Melbourne. This role involves coordinating the movement of Full Container Loads (FCL), managing warehouse operations, and ensuring seamless communication between clients, internal teams, and transport partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in sea freight logistics and warehouse management, with a strong focus on FCL shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sea Freight Coordination:

  • Book and manage wharf timeslots for container deliveries and pickups.

  • Allocate jobs to container drivers and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, internal teams, and transport partners to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
  • Provide backup support for FCL transport operations in both Sydney (SYD) and Melbourne (MEL) as required.

  • Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Monitor and manage day-to-day warehouse operations including cargo in and out.

  • Oversee container loadings and ensure that all safety standards and operational protocols are followed.
  • Supervise the warehouse team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage any operational issues that arise during the sea freight or warehouse operations and escalate as necessary.
  • Assist with optimising processes to improve overall operational efficiency.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you will need to bring a strong understanding of logistics, particularly in the sea freight and warehouse management sectors. Ideally, you have:

  • Experience with Full Container Load (FCL) operations and sea freight coordination.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to manage warehouse operations, including cargo handling and staff coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges quickly.
