Freight Logistics Manager

The role of Freight Logistics Manager is a pivotal one, encompassing the efficient handling and receipt of freight.

Key Responsibilities- Operate various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
- Process various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
- Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide, with ratchet straps, chains and binders
- Ensure all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
- Prepare outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
- Lead a small team of logistics professionals
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- A strong knowledge base in transport and logistics
- Experience with general ugly/oversize freight
- Expertise in load restraints using ratchet straps, chains and binders
- Ability to lead, direct and supervise a small team
- Preferred scanning experience
