Position Summary:
This role is responsible for identifying and spearheading new program development initiatives while providing strategic recommendations to foster new business growth. The incumbent will cultivate client relationships by delivering creative and valuable solutions to challenges, as well as cross-selling services to both new and existing clients. The position entails managing and reporting on key performance indicators to enhance program and sales strategies for Emerging Markets. A hybrid work arrangement is available (up to 50% remote) and is applicable to any Farm Credit Services office location.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates with relevant teams to design, implement, and maintain new credit, financial service, and value-added program delivery systems, ensuring seamless experiences for clients, team members, and external partners.
  2. Drives strategic initiatives aimed at generating business insights and strategies, translating findings into actionable recommendations and enhancements.
  3. Identifies, leads, and supports new program opportunities through thorough research, analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  4. Works alongside Emerging Markets leadership to identify, develop, implement, and execute sales program strategies, tactics, and new product and service concepts across a diverse range of agricultural and rural markets to stimulate new business growth.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agribusiness, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the role.
  2. A minimum of 12 years of experience in launching new products within a financial institution is preferred.
  3. At least 7 years of experience in sales and marketing.
  4. Familiarity with federal and state laws, regulations, and compliance requirements pertinent to the financial industry.
  5. Advanced understanding of governmental programs related to energy, sustainability, climate change, and renewable resources.
  6. In-depth knowledge of financial markets, complex lending transactions, and strategic sales techniques.
  7. Strong marketing acumen and the ability to lead successful sales closures.
  8. Proficient in business development, organizational, negotiation, credit, presentation, marketing, and sales skills.
  9. Ability to maintain objectivity while balancing business needs and risk.
  10. Advanced skills in reporting software and database management.
  11. Extensive experience in process improvement and project management.
  12. Prior experience in drafting Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
  13. Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  14. Proficient in developing and nurturing interpersonal relationships.
  15. High integrity and accountability.
  16. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational capabilities.
  17. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  18. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  19. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  20. Solid understanding of accounting principles at both the organizational and client levels.
  21. Knowledgeable in economic and risk management principles.
  22. Adaptable and flexible in response to changing circumstances.
  23. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams to achieve objectives and represent the organization effectively.
  24. Valid driver's license.
  25. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. Farm Credit Services is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
