Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Tax and Accounting team as Vice President of Tax and Accounting. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for developing and implementing our tax and accounting strategy, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the team's goals are aligned with the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Tax and Accounting Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive tax and accounting strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction to the Tax and Accounting team, ensuring that their goals and objectives are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Lead and Develop the Tax and Accounting Team: Lead and develop a high-performing Tax and Accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Collaborate with Other Teams: Collaborate with other senior leaders across the organization to ensure that the Tax and Accounting team's goals and objectives are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that the Tax and Accounting team is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations, including federal and state laws, and that the company's financial reporting is accurate and timely.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, insurance, or business management, with at least 5-7 years of leadership and management experience.
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to select, evaluate, engage, motivate, mentor, train, delegate, reward, and lead team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
