Our flagship property, Thornbury Castle Hotel, is a 15-acre estate boasting a rich history and stunning architecture. The Role

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team, responsible for the preparation and service of our culinary offerings. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be expected to:

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase the best of modern British cuisine
  • Lead a team of chefs in the preparation and presentation of dishes
  • Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to drive culinary innovation and excellence
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu concepts
What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £36,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • An additional share of service charge and tips (approximately £4,000 per year, paid every 2 months)

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef who possesses:

  • A professional approach, great passion, and flair for the culinary industry
  • Experience at 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star environment, or at least 5 years experience in 2 AA Rosette within a similar role or above
  • A calm, mature approach with a resilient nature that thrives under pressure
  • Natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention to detail
  • Dedicated, excellent team player with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative, with the ambition to succeed at the highest levels
  • Strict adherence to all food safety and health & safety procedures
