Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Harbour Rocks Hotel Sydney, an Accor Hotel - MGallery Hotel Collection. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation in all dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective service.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and stock levels.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events and functions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a commercial kitchen environment and/or a related certificate or degree from a college or technical school.
  • Organized and great at communicating with co-workers and residents.
  • Pride in the quality and presentation of food that you have helped to prepare.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of cooking and preparation of meals.
  • A thorough understanding of food service techniques and requirements.
