Job Title: Strategic Workforce Leader

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to shape the future of our workforce. As a Strategic Workforce Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring we have the right people with the right skills to deliver our mission.

This is not a role for the status quo. It demands transformational leadership to anticipate and meet program workforce demand while building long-term capability pipelines. You will design and lead capability plans across engineering, operations, program management, and supply chain, and deliver ongoing training to ensure our workforce grows and maintains the capability, skills, and experience to support both Collins Submarine Program and Nuclear-Powered Submarine Programs.

You will partner with government, education, and industry to grow Australia's sovereign submarine talent base and drive cultural change and embed innovative workforce systems that directly impact business outcomes.

Job Description:

  • Design and implement capability programs aligned to strategic goals
  • Lead enterprise-wide change programs
  • Inspire high-performing teams and engage diverse stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholders and influence at senior levels (internally and externally)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven success in designing and implementing capability programs
  • Strong understanding of workforce trends, regulations, and training standards
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or operations, supported by post-graduate business studies

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience as a senior leader in complex, high-risk industries

  • Ability to manage stakeholders and influence at senior levels (internally and externally)
