High Voltage Maintenance Role

We are seeking a skilled HV Electrician to join our substation maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for routine servicing, emergency repairs, and upgrade works for high-voltage substation equipment.

  • Carry out inspections, testing, and scheduled maintenance on high-voltage substation equipment.
  • Perform fault finding and emergency repairs to ensure the reliability and longevity of critical assets.
  • Assist with installation and upgrade projects across transmission and distribution networks.
  • Complete switching operations and isolations with appropriate authorisations.
  • Maintain accurate service records and contribute to a strong safety culture.

This role requires flexibility to work overtime (at double time) and participate in an on-call roster. As part of a tight-knit three-person crew based at our Mt Gambier depot, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements

You'll bring:

  • A recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
  • A current SA Electrical Workers Licence or eligibility to obtain.
  • Experience as a HV Electrician in substation maintenance, construction, mining, or other heavy industrial environments.
  • A valid South Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Bonus points if you have HV switching experience or willingness to gain authorisation.
