Job Title: Electrician

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

This position involves performing routine maintenance tasks, breakdown works, installation/replacement of electrical equipment within switchyards and substations, problem diagnosis, and predictive maintenance jobs.

Responsibilities:
  • Testing and commissioning of high voltage equipment within reticulation systems
  • Maintenance of electrical infrastructure including battery charges, switchboards, power transformers, circuit breakers, and indoor/outdoor HV switchyards switchgear
  • Assisting with switching operations within the HV network
  • Maintaining the power distribution network, ensuring safe and reliable operation
  • Attending to breakdown repairs within the HV network
Requirements:
  • Hold an Electrical trade qualification and be able to obtain a relevant license
  • Hold a current manual driver's licence
  • A sound understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)
  • Experience in the HV and mining industry
  • Possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to change with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment
