High Voltage Electrician

The Role We are seeking a skilled High Voltage (HV) Electrician to join our team. The primary responsibility involves maintaining one of Queensland's largest privately owned HV networks.
We focus on providing constant power to operational teams and other off-takers, while also maintaining the HV network to a high standard, ensuring safety.
The role tasks include routine maintenance of electrical equipment, breakdown works, installation/replacement of electrical equipment within switchyards and substations, problem diagnosis and predictive maintenance jobs.
You will have a flexible attitude and sound work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to achieve results within specified time frames.

About You

We are looking for someone who holds an Electrical trade qualification and can obtain a Queensland Electrical license. A current manual drivers' licence is also required. A sound understanding of workplace Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and experience in the HV and mining industry are essential.

Able to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively, you will possess a flexible approach and be adaptable to change with high attention to detail. Demonstrate your ability to work well in a team environment and showcase your protective relay testing experience. Switchboard maintenance, commissioning, and testing experience as well as training and upskilling will be provided.
