HV Electrician – Substation Maintenance

As part of our Substation Maintenance team, you'll perform routine servicing, emergency repairs, and upgrade works for ElectraNet and SA Power Networks substations across the south-east. You'll work as part of a tight-knit three-person crew, based at our Mt Gambier depot.

Day to day, you will:

• Carry out inspections, testing, and scheduled maintenance on HV substation equipment
• Perform fault finding and emergency repairs to keep critical assets online
• Assist with installation and upgrade projects across transmission and distribution networks
• Complete switching operations and isolations (with appropriate authorisations)
• Maintain accurate service records and contribute to a strong safety culture

Our standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, across a 9-day fortnight. As we provide 24/7 support to the Transmission and Distribution networks in the region, flexibility to work overtime (at double time) and participate in an on-call roster (1 in 3 weeks) is essential.

This role is being offered on a 24mth term contract basis.

You'll bring:

• A recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
• A current SA Electrical Workers Licence (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience as a HV Electrician in substation maintenance, construction, mining, or other heavy industrial environment
• A valid South Australian Driver's Licence
• (Bonus) HV switching experience or willingness to gain authorisation
