Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $65,000-$85,000 AUD, based on industry standards and location.

Job Description

This is a permanent full-time opportunity as a Compensation Claims Advisor with Suncorp Group in Newcastle, offering a flexible hybrid working model after the training period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Empower individuals by managing a portfolio of Personal Injury Commercial Claims, ensuring injured workers receive their correct entitlements.
  • Perform in-depth assessments by obtaining and meticulously reviewing medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports to make accurate claim assessments.
  • Employ effective strategies to resolve claims cost-effectively while upholding the well-being of injured workers.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal support and external stakeholders to ensure timely and proactive Case Management.
  • Provide top-tier customer service to legislative authorities, employers, and injured workers by complying with legislation and maintaining efficiency in claim processing.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Workers Compensation claims, portfolio claims management, or call centre operations.
  • A strong track record of providing excellent customer service.
  • Effective communication skills in a high-volume work environment.
  • Negotiation skills to interpret complex information and negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Resilience to manage complex, sensitive, and challenging matters.
