Smartsheet is in search of a skilled Revenue Operations Analyst to enhance and expedite the efficiency of our global Field Operations team. This role is pivotal in shaping Smartsheet's growth trajectory through insightful data analysis. You will collaborate closely with senior management to guide strategic decision-making within a dynamic and motivated team. Your contributions will be crucial in assisting our Sales teams to optimize their sales pipeline, boost customer retention, and successfully close deals.

Our ideal candidate exhibits a strong curiosity and the capability to convert business inquiries into comprehensive analyses, reports, and actionable recommendations. Success in this position requires effective communication with a diverse range of internal stakeholders. You should possess robust technical skills in data analytics tools and languages, a keen eye for identifying business opportunities, and the creativity to develop innovative solutions. This role is based in Sydney and reports to the Senior Manager of Business Operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and sustain the reporting framework for the Sales division to foster more insightful discussions throughout the sales process.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales leadership to comprehend and pinpoint critical business inquiries and challenges.
  • Lead initiatives to formulate solutions to these inquiries and challenges, as well as establish key performance indicators to monitor outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and other analytics teams to create scalable analytical solutions.
  • Present analytical insights to executives that will enhance performance and establish scalable process improvements across Sales regions.
  • Analyze extensive datasets, extract relevant insights, and create visual representations to summarize findings.
  • Monitor and analyze data for irregularities, recognizing trends and ensuring data quality.
  • Support commission and territory planning processes with analytical insights.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior analysts within the team.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering, sciences, mathematics, statistics, business, or economics).
  • Over 5 years of experience in an analytical role with progressive responsibilities.
  • Experience in Cloud and SaaS go-to-market strategies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and preparing data for analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Experience with statistical methods (time series analysis, cluster analysis, multivariate analysis).
  • Ability to publish and present data findings to non-technical audiences.
