
Development Partnerships Specialist

The Community Partnership Lead plays a crucial role in the Community Wellbeing team, collaborating closely with the Health and Social Planner, Community Inclusion Officer, and Coordinator Community Wellbeing.
This key position is responsible for:
- Strengthening community partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Fostering consistent communication and collaboration between Council and community partners, leading to improved service delivery and community outcomes.
- Leading and coordinating Council's volunteer management portfolio, resulting in increased volunteer recruitment, retention, and satisfaction across all Council-led programs.
- Contributing to developing and delivering plans, including the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, ensuring alignment with community needs and evidence-based practices.
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- Tertiary qualification in community development or a related field, with demonstrated experience in community engagement, partnership development, and volunteer management.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of community wellbeing initiatives.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of community development principles, current trends in volunteering, and experience using relevant management systems and tools.
