Specialist Physician – Geriatric & Complex Care Partnership

Location: South-Eastern Melbourne (Dandenong)

Employment Type: Contract / Partnership Arrangement

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Physician, General Physician, or Geriatrician to partner with our expanding multidisciplinary aged care service. This is a unique opportunity to combine high-level clinical input with innovative service delivery in both residential and community aged care.

About the Role:

  • Conduct comprehensive geriatric and complex medical assessments in residential aged care facilities.
  • Participate in and provide input for multidisciplinary care plan meetings (case conferences) with GPs, nursing staff, and allied health.
  • Provide ECG reporting and interpretation for aged care residents.
  • Perform on-site image-guided joint injections and nerve blocks for pain management (ultrasound provided).
  • Contribute to optimising resident health outcomes through proactive, collaborative care.

What We're Looking For:

  • Specialist registration with AHPRA in Rehabilitation Medicine, General Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
  • Experience in aged care medicine and complex comorbidity management.
  • Interest in integrated, multidisciplinary models of care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship (required for PRODA access).
  • Willingness to work across multiple aged care facilities in Melbourne's south-east.
