Job Overview

The Bids and Proposals Manager role involves leading the end-to-end proposal development process to ensure compliance, quality, and compelling submissions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the full proposal/bid lifecycle, from planning and scheduling through to submission.
  • Analyse tender requirements and ensure proposals meet all specifications, compliance needs, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate contributions from cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice.
  • Implement and maintain governance, templates, and content libraries that drive efficiency and quality.
  • Facilitate kick-off meetings, storyboarding, and review cycles to engage and guide proposal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, uplifting our approach to bid management techniques.
  • Conduct post-submission reviews and embed lessons learned into future proposals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing complex proposals, ideally in business-to-business or government contracting environments.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling messages.
  • Experience leading cross-functional proposal teams.
  • An existing or ability to obtain a relevant security clearance.
