Senior Underwriter, Australia Professional Lines Division

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Australia Professional Lines Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a national portfolio of Professional Lines accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Review and manage an allocated portfolio of complex risks or scheme business, delivering underwriting decisions within designated authority levels and portfolio risk appetite.
- Business Development: Actively engage with the broking market, managing existing relationships and expanding to new distribution channels nationally, marketing both Allied World products and value proposition.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to colleagues to assist in their development and learning.
- Project Management: Take on projects that can assist in furthering your technical knowledge and overall professional body of work.
- 5+ years of experience in Professional Lines underwriting and/or broking.
- A strong technical knowledge base in Professional Lines, with a willingness and desire to continue learning.
- Existing relationships with distribution partners, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and ability to exercise strong judgment.
- Maintains and values a high level of professionalism, integrity, and trust.
- The ability to collaborate and be part of a team culture.
