About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter to join our dynamic underwriting team in Sydney.

This role will involve:

  • Developing business opportunities within the Professional Indemnity segment
  • Managing a Professional Indemnity portfolio
  • The portfolio will consist of a large number of accountants, engineers, real estate agents, and Design & Construction professionals
  • Communicating our underwriting appetite to broking partners
  • Developing and maintaining broker relationships
  • Analyzing and approving referrals for junior staff
  • Contributing to the training and development of underwriting staff

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional indemnity insurance professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service and has a strong understanding of professional indemnity insurance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Confidence in managing multiple clients, including both renewals and new business
  • Comfort in providing training, mentorship, and coaching to fellow staff
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for quality service
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain successful relationships with clients and brokers
