Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and underwrite profitable accounts within designated underwriting limits, guided by the PCM and Country GM.
- Foster and enhance relationships with brokers under the direction of the PCM.
- Oversee assigned accounts, ensuring streamlined document workflows in accordance with operational protocols.
- Conduct Technical Underwriting by assessing risks rigorously, considering loss control, claims history, and relevant risk management factors.
- Ensure compliance with all underwriting guidelines and necessary referrals.
- Generate accurate reports as required.
- Engage in Business Development and Retention by staying informed on market trends and changes.
- Lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiencies and optimizing resource allocation for revenue generation.
- Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders for technical or marketing support in business development efforts.
- Identify opportunities for synergy and participate in cross-selling initiatives within the Profit Centre and across other Profit Centres.
- Build and maintain robust personal and professional relationships with clients and brokers.
- Adhere to internal service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure operational efficiency and meet customer service standards.
- Continuously strive to lower the expense ratio by focusing on efficiencies and maximizing productivity through process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Perform any additional duties or assignments as directed by the PCM.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in business, economics, insurance, or marketing.
- Significant experience in the industry.
- Relevant industry attachments will be viewed favorably.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry regulations and codes.
- Skillset includes Marketing Relationship Management, Strategic Planning, Accountability, Budgeting, Business Acumen, Business Development, Competitive Analysis, Presentation Skills, Decision Making, and Distribution Management.
