Job Overview

At Certis Security Australia, we are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our protective services group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of maritime zones.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing top-notch security services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, with experience working in a gatehouse or similar role.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct access control checks, verifying the identities of personnel and vehicles entering restricted areas
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to alarms as necessary
  • Patrol the perimeter of the site, identifying and reporting any potential security risks
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to queries and concerns from clients and visitors
Requirements
  • A Certificate II in Security Operations or equivalent qualification
  • Current state security license and Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field, preferably in a gatehouse or similar role
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Basic computer literacy, with proficiency in relevant software applications
