Job Overview

CertisciscP2 is seeking an experienced Port Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and safety of all maritime zones at our secure ports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control Management: Ensure that only authorized personnel and vehicles have access to the port, in accordance with Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act (MTOFSA) regulations.
  • Monitoring and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols, monitor CCTV systems, and respond to alarms generated by access systems, fire systems, building management control systems, and CCTV systems.
  • Security Reporting: Provide daily communications diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings, and alarms checks.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to on-site medical, First Aid, and other emergencies as required.
  • Gates and Perimeter Security: Monitor exit gates, unauthorised entry checks, MSIC checks at turnstiles and exit and entrance gates, conduct regular patrols, administration and building patrols, and locking/unlocking doors/gates.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • Current and applicable Security license
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Occupational First Aid
  • Valid driving license
