Strategic Sales Director for Tourism Growth

Troocoo is excited to partner with Greyhound Australia to recruit a dynamic and experienced sales leader to drive revenue growth and increase market share in the Australian tourism industry.
Greyhound Australia, the only national coach company in Australia, has been connecting people for over 110 years. With a diverse range of products and services, including travel passes, packages, ticket sales, and freight forwarding, they offer great journeys and amazing experiences for Kiwis, Australians, and international tourists.
In 2023, Greyhound joined the Entrada Travel Group, which includes several iconic tourism brands connecting people and places across New Zealand and Australia. This partnership allows for collective success and delivery of outstanding experiences for customers.
About the Role:
The Strategic Sales Director will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and increasing market share by guiding a high-performing sales team in promoting and selling Greyhound's products and services to domestic & international agents, customers, and key trade partners across wholesale and retail channels.
This leadership position requires a strategic and results-driven individual who can foster strong relationships with industry partners, develop insightful strategies, and inspire their team to achieve sales targets.
The Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing Greyhound's strategic sales plan to maximize revenue growth and profitability.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key trade partners, inbound operators, and other industry stakeholders.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a sales team to achieve and exceed revenue and profit targets.
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities and developing innovative sales strategies to respond to emerging market trends.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to develop impactful campaigns and retail activations that drive customer engagement.
- Providing insightful market analysis, reports, and forecasts to the executive team.
About You:
The ideal candidate must have an outstanding commercial acumen, a hunter mindset to achieve Greyhound's domestic and international growth strategies, and a deep understanding of the Australian tourism market. As an inspiring leader, you will engage and motivate a high-performing sales team, craft innovative strategies that deliver results, and build strong, collaborative relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
With a strong network of industry relationships and a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your financial acumen to manage budgets and forecasts effectively. Your proven success in meeting and achieving sales targets ideally within tourism or hospitality, will be underpinned by exceptional leadership, communication skills, and a knack for data-driven decision-making.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
