Job Description

A leading US fund manager is seeking a skilled junior candidate to join their Client Services team in Sydney. This exceptional opportunity involves processing and managing rebates related to Australian Unit Trusts for new and existing clients.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for assisting the Client Services team with day-to-day queries for clients in the Australian Unit Trusts. The individual will work independently, displaying significant initiative, and engage in client change activity such as onboarding and changes on global clients through regular contact with Relationship Managers, Client Account Managers, legal and product management teams as well as external transfer agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Owning the end-to-end fund rebate process for Australian Unit Trust clients, including preparing instructions to transfer agencies and internal departments of rebate rates and payments by set deadlines each month.
  • Setting up rebate records for calculations accurately mirroring client agreed terms.
  • Preparing client rebate statements by set deadlines then submitted to the relevant internal teams.
  • Raising suggestions for improvements to the quality and effectiveness of rebate related processes and customer service.
  • Reconciling client accounts to internal systems/records.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years' fund operations experience from either a fund manager, custodian or fund services firm.
  • Knowledge of Unit Trusts.
  • Good level of competence on Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical approach and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills on technical processes, verbal and written.
  • Client-focused and flexible approach.
  • Independent worker who is results driven.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities; flexible.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
Salary

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum.
