The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive, curious, and forward-thinking individual with a keen interest in investment fund management to join our Private Equity team. As an Associate in the Private Equity team, your role will be to provide analytical and operational support in the development of our Private Equity strategy, and the implementation, reporting, and ongoing management of our Private Equity portfolio in accordance with that strategy.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the Private Equity team in managing the portfolio, including handling portfolio data, analytics, and performance reporting. You will contribute to investment papers, conduct market research, and provide input into portfolio pacing and exposure modeling. You will be involved in portfolio monitoring, meeting with private equity managers, recommending actions to optimize performance, and drafting key documents for internal decision-making.
You will collaborate with various internal teams, such as ESG, legal, and tax, to ensure the effective implementation and management of the Private Equity portfolio. You will also support appointees on advisory boards for our private equity investments, protecting our interests in these external engagements.
About You
We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. You should have a demonstrated interest in financial markets and investing, with relevant experience in finance, consulting, or asset management. An understanding of and interest in Private Equity investments, strategies, and portfolio management, as well as an interest in broader macro-economic factors and markets, is required.
You should have demonstrable ability in building analytical financial models in Excel and a working understanding of financial industry databases and tools. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
