We are seeking an experienced Investment Associate to join our Private Equity team at Robert Walters Australia. As an Investment Associate, you will play a key role in all aspects of the investment process, including deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive industry research and analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential investment targets through proactive outreach, networking, and market analysis.
- Perform detailed financial modelling to support investment decisions.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal review and investment committee presentations.
- Collaborate with senior team members to conduct thorough due diligence on prospective investments, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and risk assessment.
- Support portfolio company management teams with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and performance tracking.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors affecting portfolio companies and industries.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investment bankers, advisors, and industry experts.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-6 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or related field; prior private equity experience is highly sought after.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated passion for investing, with a keen interest in learning and staying abreast of industry trends and market developments.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
