Telecommunications Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team in the Gunnedah region. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for executing, servicing, and maintaining various equipment on mine sites to ensure client expectations are met and positive customer relationships are developed and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute, service, and maintain telecommunications equipment on mine sites
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams to plan, install, commission, and deliver solutions
  • Prioritize planned and unplanned workload to meet client expectations
Requirements:
  • Trade level certificate in electronics, telecommunications, electrical, auto electrics, or a similar field
  • Proven ability to work in a similar role within the mining or telecommunications industry
  • Experience in leading technical service delivery teams
  • Exposure to LTE networks, DRS radio, and/or fleet management systems
  • Communication Systems experience across a range of equipment
  • Familiarity with collision avoidance and fatigue monitoring systems
  • Public announcement, radar, and display experience is desirable
