Senior Technical Specialist - Network Infrastructure

Overview

M&T Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our team in the IP Service Design group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the Architecture, Detailed Design, Testing, and Implementation of IP products and solutions in the IP network designed to support Consumers.

Main Responsibilities

  • As the most senior engineer within the team, you will be the Subject Matter Expertise for the relevant technology area, creating designs to integrate Consumer platforms into the converged IP Network.
  • Developing technical scoping documentation from product requirements.
  • Generate network designs, lab testing, and implementation in production.
  • Develop well-prepared, accurate engineering network design documentation.
  • Perform assessment of existing network elements and implement design updates as required to ensure all network components meet the network design specifications.
  • Communicating complex technology solutions to other technical and non-technical staff.

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in telecommunications with specific BGP on MPLS Networks for major telecommunications / ISP.
  • CCIE or JNCIE certification highly desirable.
  • Cisco ACI experience.
  • Sound knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing / Switching, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, L2 and L3 datacentre technologies – VXLAN, Cisco ACI, VPC.
  • Network Automation using Ansible, NSO, Python.
