About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Assistant to join our Operations team at Allens Operations Pty Ltd. As a Practice Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing administrative and operational support to our legal operatives and Practice Executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support to legal operatives, adapting to the changing needs of the role and the business.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including generating reports, expense management, document amendments, and document management.
  • Support the firm's client relationship management software, record business development activities, maintain accurate contact records, and assist with client reporting.
  • Provide administrative support with client pitches and assist with the coordination of client events.
  • Set up and coordinate new clients and matters using the matter planning tools.
  • Assist with matter financials, including creating and amending billing narratives and drafting/finalizing bills.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a law firm or professional services firm.
  • High level of skill and accuracy with software, including Microsoft applications, DocCorp, and other document management software.
  • Ability to draft correspondence, presentations, pitch documents, and slide packs quickly and accurately.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the flexibility to organize and prioritize work independently and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
