Workplace Injury Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in managing workplace injuries and ensuring safe return-to-work outcomes for employees.

You will work closely with internal teams, insurers, healthcare professionals, and rehabilitation providers to achieve optimal outcomes for employees and the organization.

  • Manage workers' compensation and injury management cases in line with legislative requirements
  • Develop and implement return-to-work strategies for injured colleagues
  • Collaborate with insurers, healthcare providers, and rehabilitation specialists to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide specialist training, coaching, and consultation to site leadership and teams
  • Maintain accurate injury management records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support initiatives to improve workplace health, safety, and injury prevention

Key Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in workers' compensation and injury management (an allied health background is highly desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Workers' Compensation legislation and best practice injury management strategies
  • Experience in developing return-to-work plans and liaising with external healthcare providers
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, OHS, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nursing, or a related health science field (highly desirable, but not essential)
  • Experience using Solv Injury or similar case management systems
  • Ability to travel to metropolitan areas
  • Valid Driver's License Class 'C'
