Job Title: Human Resource Generalist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting specific business areas within Demant ANZ, working closely with the Leadership Team and employees on the front line to provide strategic input and advice on people-related issues.

  • Contributes to business strategy by helping leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes to achieve business goals.
  • Understands the business and its drivers, builds relationships with managers/stakeholders to identify and provide HR input across a range of HR issues and deliver solutions that meet the needs of the business.

This role plays an essential part in establishing and driving HR programs and talent initiatives forward, aligning with Director HR ANZ and company/business objectives.

Responsibilities

The Human Resource Generalist will oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle for dedicated business areas, providing advice on labour legislation, policies, and procedures, and working closely with leaders to ensure smooth resolution of HR matters and mitigate risk.

  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition Manager to drive TA strategies and materials to strengthen the Company's Employer brand (in alignment with Global).
  • Partners with Learning and Development to work on value-added programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, and job performance.
  • Provides coaching and leadership development support to business leadership teams.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management and/or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR Business Partner capacity.
  • Strong systems knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, reporting, HRIS/Payroll).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian/New Zealand employment legislation.
  • Prior experience working in a retail/service/medical device environment preferable.
