About the Role

The Mission Development Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the Church Engagement and Regional Engagement teams. This role reports directly to the Executive General Manager – Church and Community Engagement and is a critical member of the Church and Community Engagement team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team that supports and partners with churches in all aspects of their mission and ministry.
  • Form and equip leaders in our churches and organisation.
  • Identify and promote missional initiatives across the movement.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Church and Community Engagement team.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with:

  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage the challenges of change and innovation.
  • Understanding of the principles and values of Christianity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Churches of Christ.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Theology or relevant discipline.
  • Able to be endorsed as a Ministering Person of Churches of Christ in Queensland.
  • Five years of active participation in a leadership or ministry role in a Christian Church or organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to model a missional lifestyle.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
