Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Homelessness Service in Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving our mobile outreach and place-based support for youth at or transitioning from the Mater Youth Adult Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire high-quality program delivery to clients, ensuring that young people have access to the right housing opportunities.
- Develop and implement best practice approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients, including those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
- Manage the program budget, ensuring compliance with authorized expenditure and reporting on program outcomes as required.
- Recruit and select staff in line with Mission Australia's policy and procedures, fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
- Provide comprehensive and timely reports on program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance service delivery.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders, including colleagues, managers, and external partners, to achieve organizational goals.
- A degree or qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams to deliver service outcomes in compliance with contracted and funding requirements.
- Strong budget and financial management skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence legislation, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families.
- Professional understanding of the issues and needs facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, including intergenerational trauma.
- Demonstrated ability to form collaborative partnerships and connections with other professionals and organizations.
