
Key Government Sales Professional

Nearmap is a global tech pioneer innovating the location intelligence space.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing government accounts and driving sales growth through effective territory planning, customer relationship building, and proposal development. A strong understanding of Government key decision makers' needs and preferences is essential.
This role requires:
- Strategic account planning to drive new and upsell business
- Collaboration with Customer Success Managers on renewal and adoption strategies
- Building value-based relationships with executive stakeholders and mobilisers
- Leading proposals and delivering compelling customer-focused solutions
- Generating pipeline through Marketing, BDRs, Partnerships & Alliances collaboration
- Negotiating partnerships (including VARs) alongside the CSM
- Representing Nearmap at conferences, webinars, and industry events
- Staying across market trends and developing deep expertise in our technology and customer use cases
- 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally in SaaS, consistently hitting quota
- Experience managing 50+ accounts, balancing new business and growth
- Confidence engaging Government executives and influencing key decisions at the State and Federal level
- Proven success in upsell, new logo acquisition, and customer expansion
- Skilled in value-based selling, building ROI-driven business cases
- Strong collaborator, able to align internal and partner stakeholders
- Experience with proposals, quoting, and complex sales cycles
- Salesforce experience a plus; knowledge of aerial imagery or location content desirable
