
Senior Sales Professional for Government Accounts

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to own the sales cycle for a defined set of federal government accounts. This includes identifying opportunities, developing tailored account plans, and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the sales cycle for federal government accounts involves owning the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals.
- Developing tailored account plans aligned to government goals and procurement processes requires a deep understanding of the government's needs and requirements.
- Building strong relationships with key public sector decision-makers is crucial in ensuring that the government's needs are met and that the company can deliver value to them.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Pre-Sales, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success teams is essential in delivering a seamless customer experience.
- Showcasing Tableau's capabilities in solving real-world government data challenges demonstrates the company's ability to deliver innovative solutions to complex problems.
Requirements:
- A successful track record in enterprise or public sector solution selling is essential in delivering results in this role.
- Prior experience working with or selling into federal government agencies (APS experience highly desirable) is necessary in navigating the complexities of government sales.
- Understanding of government procurement, funding cycles, and digital transformation objectives is critical in developing effective account plans.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills are necessary in building and maintaining strong relationships with government officials.
