Family Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team in the Mid North Coast region. As a key member of our Child Protection Caseworker team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Respond to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed.
- Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to address their needs and develop safe and loving homes.
- Collaborate with other agencies and engage in complex problem-solving to provide effective support to families.
- Develop and implement safety plans, complete risk assessments, and manage cases and situations, including working with high-needs and high-risk clients and their families.
- Participate in court processes, including preparing court documents and attending court hearings.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders. A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a paid Working with Children clearance number are also essential requirements.

The NSW Government offers a competitive salary package, ranging from $79,032 to $109,194 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading. You will also receive 17 weeks of industry-leading training in the Caseworker Development Program, as well as opportunities to work flexibly and participate in customized career development and support for your personal and professional growth.
