
Holistic Support Professional

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Darwin. As a Support Professional, you will provide holistic and trauma-informed support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
You will maintain a safe and nurturing environment, contributing to positive outcomes aligned with service contracts and core values. Your dedication and compassion will be instrumental in helping these individuals navigate challenges and build a brighter future.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Support clients to meet basic needs in a culturally safe and compassionate way.
- Provide practical assistance, including transport and monitoring, to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Actively advocate on behalf of clients to access appropriate services, building their capacity.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent and coordinated support.
- Ensure client outcomes are achieved by following best practice approaches and service protocols.
- Complete required administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Previous experience in a similar role within homelessness, human services or mental health is preferred.
- Strong MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems are essential.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
- Understanding of Aboriginal cultural protocols and ability to build respectful relationships is vital.
- Ability to remain calm, resilient and adaptable when supporting clients with complex needs is necessary.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities are important.
- A current First Aid & CPR Certificate is required.
- A full driver's licence with no restrictions is also required.
