This vital role is based in Darwin and requires a dedicated individual who can provide holistic and trauma-informed support to residents, helping them navigate challenges and build a brighter future.
Key Responsibilities:- Build positive relationships with clients and provide culturally safe and compassionate support to meet their basic needs.
- Offer practical assistance, including transport and continuous monitoring, to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Actively advocate on behalf of clients to access appropriate services and enhance their capacity.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent and coordinated support.
- Evaluate client outcomes using best practice approaches and service protocols.
- Previous experience in a similar role within homelessness, human services, or mental health.
- Strong MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Aboriginal cultural protocols and ability to build respectful relationships.
- Ability to remain calm, resilient, and adaptable when supporting clients with complex needs.
