Energy Storage System Commissioning Specialist

The role of a Commissioning Engineer(ESS) involves ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient commissioning of grid-scale battery energy storage systems in Australia. This position requires mastery of complex system integration under Australian Energy Market Operator's stringent performance standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Commissioning Execution: Oversee switchgear assembly testing, support integration testing of battery and power conversion systems, and validate compliance with Australian Standards.
- Performance Validation: Execute capacity round-trip efficiency tests and troubleshoot grid compliance issues.
- Australian Compliance: Ensure adherence to national electricity rules, manage asset data management code, and enforce work health and safety act.
- Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Contractors.
This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the renewable energy sector. As a Commissioning Engineer(ESS), you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of grid-scale battery energy storage systems in Australia.
You will work closely with the project team to ensure that the systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian regulations. Your expertise in complex system integration will be essential in ensuring that the systems perform optimally and meet the required performance standards.

Key Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
