The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in design and development of battery energy storage systems. They will be responsible for supporting the detailed design through the completion of Issue For Construction design packages, evaluating and analyzing energy storage technologies, products, and vendors, and supporting clients with technology and vendor selection and implementation.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing detailed electrical engineering designs for microgrid and distributed energy resources projects
- Evaluating and analyzing energy storage technologies, products, and vendors
- Supporting clients with technology and vendor selection and implementation
- Collaborating with civil, structural, fire & life safety, high-voltage electrical, SCADA/telecommunications, water, and geotechnical engineers to develop complete Issue For Construction design packages for BESS projects
As an Energy Storage Systems Design Engineer at our company, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and developing new energy storage systems to collaborating with clients and stakeholders to bring these projects to fruition.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
