Energy Storage Systems Engineer
Job DescriptionThis position involves working with cutting-edge energy storage systems, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities on these units at various sites. The goal is to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on energy storage systems.
- Address technical and operational issues promptly and conduct warranty repairs.
- Support the project team during the commissioning of battery energy storage systems and related equipment.
- Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers, maintaining and enhancing customer relationships through effective communication.
- Prepare and present analytical service reports, maintain accurate documentation related to site visits, and generate service work reports.
- Conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, and ensure compliance with local safety regulations and standards.
- Serve as a local technical advisor in customer meetings and collaborate with the engineering group on product development.
- Communicate technical requirements to suppliers, evaluate supplier proposals, and ensure supplied equipment meets standards.
- Review, develop, and document quality standards, processes, tools, and techniques to enhance engineering efficiency.
- Tertiary or degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Over 7 years of practical experience in engineering execution and delivery of large power system projects, particularly in battery energy storage and other power generation fields.
- Extensive hands-on experience in power systems, power generation, and electrical engineering, with a strong focus on drives, solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and HV/LV power electronics, including inverters, converters, and transformers.
- In-depth understanding of complex control system logic and hands-on proficiency with MODBUS protocols.
