Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team and support our participants in their daily lives. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including personal care, medication management, and household tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to participants with complex needs
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Manage medication and administer medications as required
  • Assist with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Engage in recreational activities and promote social interaction with participants
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in disability support or a related field
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including high medical and/or complex needs
  • Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish professional relationships with participants and their families
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record management
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day roster and willingness to work overnight shifts or attend training/meetings as required
  • Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Orientation, COVID Infection Control, NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check
  • Current Open Driver's Licence
