Prevention and Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Prevention and Rehabilitation Specialist. This exciting opportunity will involve designing and implementing programs aimed at preventing workplace injuries and illnesses, as well as rehabilitating employees back to optimal health and performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering injury prevention strategies and training programs
  • Providing case management and return-to-work planning services for employees who have been injured or ill
  • Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and managing non-work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Gathering and interpreting health and medical information to inform decision-making
  • Establishing relationships with internal and external providers to support employee rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational rehabilitation, injury management, and program development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Allied health degree (e.g., physiotherapy, occupational therapy)
  • Rehabilitation and/or return-to-work coordinator training or experience
  • Psychological First Aid training or equivalent
  • Train the trainer certification or experience
