Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to facilitate effective rehabilitation and recovery for individuals who have suffered physical and/or psychological injuries at work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the rehabilitation process.
  • Conduct a range of assessments, including Vocational Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessments, Job preparation services, Worksite Assessments and initial needs assessments.
  • Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, including injured employees and employers, medical specialists and other allied health professionals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans through case management.
  • Contribute to improved client outcomes by supporting return-to-work goals, whether the client returns to their previous job or transitions to new employment opportunities.

Essential Qualifications
  • Current unrestricted (or eligible for) registration or membership with the relevant industry body.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A passion for helping individuals rehabilitate; Occupational Rehabilitation experience is highly desirable.
