Rehabilitation Consultant

Job Description:

As a rehabilitation consultant, you will be working with experts in workplace health, injury management and safety to deliver high-standard services across personal injury and occupational health. The team focuses on recovery and function to get clients back to work and back to life, regardless of age, stage or situation.

The role involves applying clinical reasoning skills to support people who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury at work. This includes taking a more holistic care approach, working within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.

  • You will perform various assessments, including Vocational Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessment, Job preparation services, Worksite Assessments and initial needs assessments.
  • You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including injured employees and employers, medical specialists and other allied health professionals.
  • You will develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans through case management.

Your client base will be diverse, exposing you to various industries such as transport, agriculture, government, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing and professional services, as well as Department of Veterans Affairs.

Supporting your clients' return to their same job or finding a new employment opportunity is a key aspect of this role.
