Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation services, you will work closely with clients to help them recover from workplace injuries and achieve their goals.

Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality rehabilitation services that empower individuals to regain confidence, independence, and meaningful employment. We believe in the importance of a whole-person approach to rehabilitation, addressing not only physical but also psychological aspects of injury recovery.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex cases, providing health coaching, career guidance, and return-to-work support. You will use your expertise to assess client needs, develop personalized rehabilitation plans, and monitor progress towards identified goals.

We are looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and consultation skills. You should have a proven track record of working in a high-performance environment and be able to establish effective stakeholder relationships. Additionally, you should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex physical and psychological injury cases
  • Providing health coaching, career coaching, and return-to-work support
  • Performing vocational assessments
  • Creatings employer networks
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology, or Psychology
  • Eligibility for registration with ASORC, AASW, or APHRA
  • Experience working in a similar role within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector (highly desirable)
