Organising Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled organiser to join our team.

As an organiser, you will work with members and workplace leaders to plan and implement organising campaigns that build the strength of members and deliver exceptional employment outcomes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering organising activities in existing and new workplaces.
  • Increasing membership numbers through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Motivating, coaching and developing the skills of members and delegates to campaign on workplace issues.
  • Negotiating enterprise agreements alongside delegates.
  • Providing advocacy, negotiation and representation in the workplace on pay and conditions, conflict resolution and other matters as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective planning and organisation of organising campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills to represent members in workplaces and forums.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with members and workplace leaders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in working for a union or campaigning organisation.
  • Commitment to union values and principles.
  • Sound verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to represent members in workplaces.
