Job Title: Customer Payments Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding customers through the payments and debt recovery process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting customers to effectively resolve and negotiate payments, deadlines or payment plans in a high-volume environment
  • Maintaining collection activity and managing daily workload by monitoring queues and interpreting reports
  • Proactively managing a high volume of both inbound and outbound collection calls
  • Assessing customer files and administering collection solutions
  • Ensuring all customer data is up to date and industry compliance standards are met
  • Developing a deep knowledge and understanding of our products and technology
  • Collaborating with internal teams to identify any issues and escalate to the appropriate channels
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar collections role
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar support role managing queues, with inbound and outbound emails and calls
  • A good listener with ability to understand customers' underlying problems
  • Task-focused with strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with technology
  • Natural sense of urgency with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience
