The role of a Business Development Manager is pivotal in driving growth and expansion for a tech services provider. This individual will be responsible for acquiring new business, nurturing existing accounts, and enhancing market share.
About the JobThis senior-level position requires a seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the telecommunications and/or IT sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong hunter mentality, being comfortable with outbound prospecting and reactivating dormant accounts.
- Deliver on agreed sales targets by identifying and acquiring new clients
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring a balanced mix of opportunities
- Implement customer retention strategies to minimize churn and reinforce brand presence
- Collaborate with the Customer Management Team to identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Performance- Drive sales revenue growth through proactive lead generation and account management
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services to effectively communicate value to clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to ensure ongoing business partnerships
- Work closely with Sales Managers and Solution Consultants to align sales strategies and drive results
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, share best practices, and address challenges
- Contribute to the development of sales materials, tools, and processes to enhance team performance
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a strong focus on business development and growth
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and stakeholders
- A deep understanding of the technology industry, including cloud, cyber security, mobility, and AI solutions
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a collaborative approach to business
