Executive Chef Assistant

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Demi Chef to join our talented team of chefs on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the effective operation of the Kitchen, working closely with other Kitchen staff to provide exceptional quality and service to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and hygienic kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues.
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of all sections of the Kitchen, including cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
- Follow directions from senior chefs and contribute to the overall success of the Kitchen.
Requirements
- Previous Demi Chef experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar environment.
- A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognized in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in cookery and well-developed knife skills.
- Solid knowledge of kitchen sections, service styles, mis en place procedures, food items, cookery techniques, sauces, cold larder, vegetables, and butchery.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lifting 20kgs and performing repetitive manual tasks safely.
- Full working rights in Australia.
